The Harris Safe System & Scribe

The Harris SAFE System is a minimally invasive procedure that dramatically advances the field of hair restoration. It was created and patented by Dr. Harris of the Hair Sciences Center of Colorado, and currently, Dr. Harris is the only surgeon in the world offering this revolutionary technology to patients.

The Harris SAFE System^SM offers several benefits for patients, including:

How It Works
This breakthrough technology enables Dr. Harris to perform precise follicular extraction without unnecessary follicular damage and the resulting loss that is associated with traditional FUE. It significantly increases the number of grafts being transplanted from approximately 300-400 per day to potentially a thousand grafts in a single day. This is significantly more than traditional FUE normally allows.

Furthermore, the SAFE Systems enables Dr. Harris to isolate, excise and remove single follicular units with one to five hairs without the need to re move a door strip and without the potential trauma to the follicles associated with traditional FUE. Instead, Dr. Harris or his trained technician employs a small, self-contained device, the Harris SAFE Scribe, for precise follicular extraction without unnecessary follicular dissection and the resulting trauma to the hair follicles.

The Harris Safe System & Scribe technique is an available option for virtually 100% of patients, including African Americans and patients with gray hair.

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

FUE is a method of obtaining follicular units from the donor area using a very small (one millimeter or less) punch (a surgical instrument used to obtain small samples of tissue). Surgeons performing this new technique select the follicular unit to be removed, the punch is then placed over the follicular unit and a small circular incision is made approximately half way down the unit's hair shafts. Next, the unit is grasped and extracted from the surrounding skin.


Follicular Unit Hair Transplantation (FUHT)
Our hair grows naturally in groupings of one, two, three and four hairs. These groupings contain their own sebaceous glands, a small muscle and the perifolliculum. When obtained with specialized operating microscopes, and transplanted by our highly trained team, lost hair can be replaced, and hair density can be increased in the most undetectable and natural way possible.
